Pregnancy, Visits and Apple Ochards...Kind of

The past week and a half has been good for the Reddens! It has been beautiful weather here in Nebraska. High 70's and low 80's and this next week we will still be in the 70's. It really helps to have nice weather so we can go outside with Cole, as he loves it out there!

My mom visited us this week and we had a good time with her. It was nice to be able to show family our new home and it was also nice for Cole to be with his grandma. Keet and I were even able to spend the day together on Thursday withOUT Cole, which was really nice.

Last week we attempted to go to an Apple Orchard. I say attempted because we arrived at one after driving for an hour and 20 minutes, only to find out that they had been hit with a Tornado at the beginning of the summer and they really didn't have any apples. We were able to pick some raspberries though and got some cute pictures of Cole.

A funny story about Cole at the orchard, there was a kindergarten class touring the place and Cole just made himself a part of the group and started following them around. He absolutely LOVES other kids and it was just so funny to see him join in with them. He certainly won't have any problem going to school.

We had our first doctor's appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat of the baby for the first time. My official due date is April 23rd. I have been feeling much better the past couple of weeks and am starting to get a baby bump already. It is happening much quicker this time around than last, but I was kind of expecting it to happen that way. Keet's sister is pregnant too and has the same due date - April 23rd! It is fun to experience things at the same time with her.

Here is the beginning of my baby bump.

Cole and some wacky hair. He is getting so much of it these days.

In the wagon while we pick raspberries.

Playing with some corn at the orchard.

He picked up this pumpkin - the perfect size!

At the end, all he wanted to do was push around a wheelbarrow.

You don't know us, but I couldn't help but post. My brother and sister-in-law (Cam and Erin Easley) know Todd & Trisha and came across your blog and found out you'd moved to Stromsburg. Though we're from Illinois, we lived in Stromsburg for almost 8 years before moving back here to be closer to family 3 years ago. I hope you find Burg as "mayberry-ish" and welcoming as we did. We miss it (and the people) terribly. We lived in the apartment above Cornerstone Bank on the main square of town while we lived there ($125 rent!) Though we attended the Baptist church there, we had many friends at the Ev. Free Church. (Tell the Wheeler's and Rutter's that we said hello!...Todd & Rick were wonderful spiritual mentors to my hubby...one of the many reasons God took us to NE in the first place). We pray that you'll come to love Burg as much as we do...we still talk about moving back there almost once a month!...If it weren't for the fact that all our family is here in IL, we'd be back there in a heartbeat! God's blessings as you grow your family and your ministry there in Nebraska..."The Good Life".
