We had a fun Easter with the boys this past weekend. This was the first year that we actually got them little presents for Easter, so we decided to do that on Saturday. They also had an Easter egg hunt in our town square Saturday afternoon. Poor Cole was with all the other three-year olds and he was not as fast as some of the others so he just ended up with five. I refuse to be one of those parents out there pointing out all the eggs just so my child can get the most. :) He still had fun. Parker of course was with the other two-year olds and had Daddy's help so he ended up with quite a few.
Friday night we had a nice Good Friday service and our Sunday morning service was one of the best Easter services I remember attending. So, it was a great weekend to focus on Christ, his death and his resurrection.
Sunday after church we were able to go to some friends' house and have dinner with them. The boys were able to play with the other children and it was just a nice, relaxing time. This was probably one of the first holidays that I did not lament being away from home! It's amazing how being with other people helps.
