Swedish Festival

Every year our town has a Swedish Festival in June right around the time summer starts. Our town is supposedly the Swedish capital of Nebraska, and there are quite a few Swedes around! The festival is a fun time, especially for kids. They have a carnival with rides on Friday and Saturday and a parade on Saturday night. We got soooo much candy from the parade this year that I think pretty much all of it will be donated to the youth group! Enjoy the pictures. :)

This is the only ride Parker would get on - the carousel.

Cole loved riding all the other fun rides.

Keet was a lucky volunteer for the emergency department. They raise money each year by recruiting volunteers to be dunked. Let's just say Keet was pretty chilled after being wet for an hour in the cool breeze of a summer evening!

Waiting to get candy at the parade.

I have no idea why Keet had to help Cole eat this.

Yum!
