Christmas in Indiana

We went home to Indiana for Christmas and spent a week visiting with family and friends. It is always nice to go home; it almost feels like a little vacation because we don't have to worry about too much. We decided to drive and overall it went well. The drive itself is VERY easy and it took us 12 hours each way. Cole did relatively well - he did toss his cookies on the way to Indiana but I think he just got a little motion sick, not the flu or anything like that.

While home we visited with my mom, and brother Ben, and his girlfriend Michelle. Cole is getting to know them more and more, especially my mom and really lights up when he sees her. We also spent time with Keet's parents and Todd and Trisha and Elias. Cole LOVES Keet's dad - his grandpa. He always wants to be held by him whenever he sees him. It is pretty cute.

We were able to see some of Keet's extended family while in town, which was nice. We also were able to visit with some friends from Butler and from our old church. The week definitely seemed to get busier and busier, but we had a good time seeing everyone.

Cole seemed like he knew exactly what to do with the presents. He thoroughly enjoyed opening them and even wanted to open everyone else's too.

This was not during our trip, but I thought he was so cute in this little outfit.

This is after Cole woke up from his nap in the car. I think the twizzler he is eating was part of the problem with his upset stomach. I don't know why he kept making this face. He wore that hat during his whole nap. :)

We each opened a present on Christmas eve.

Keet and his dad.

Cole playing with one of Elias' presents - he loved shooting the basketball in the hoop.

We visited my old pastor and his family. Here is Cole with Emmie - she was my flower girl. She is so grown up now!

Cole and Elias' with Aunt Tammy during the Redden Christmas.

Cousin Elias being silly.

Posing the boys.

The boys with cousin Josie - she is actually a second or third cousin to them. I'm not really sure how it works.

Cole playing with his new kitchen at home. Isn't that the most colorful kitchen you have ever seen?
